Mini Chicken Pot Pies=YUMMY!!

These are super fast and easy and delicious!
Ingredients are: 1 can of biscuits, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 2 cooked chicken breasts, cubed. 1 can of Veg-All mixed vegetables, Pam cooking spray.

Spray muffin pans with cooking spray. Preheat oven to the temperature noted on your biscuits. Roll out or flatten biscuits and place in muffin tin. I used a Grand flakey biscuits and actually pulled them into two sections. Mix soup, veg-all, butter and chicken in a pan. Heat and mix well.
Fill each biscuit with mixture and pinch the edges up. Bake as long as your biscuits require.

I have added a pic of my mixture so you can see what it looks like. If these are too salty for your taste, use the salt-free mixed veg-all.
Enjoy!

I made my first Children's Quiet Book.... aka Busy BoOk for kids

I have two granddaughters that I have decided to make Quiet Books for. I have one made and wanted to share it. I'm currently working on the other and will have pictures of that as soon as I'm done.
A quiet book is for younger kids, made from cloth and felt and used to keep them busy at times you need them to be quietly occupied.
The book is a fun play thing, yet a learning tool.

I really had no idea how to assemble these books and have had a little bit of trouble finding instructions online. But Pinterest and YouTube are great sources. I've made several mistakes but all in all, the book turned out pretty well.

Each page is different with a fun activity. Here are the pages for this book...the next book I am making will have all different pages.

Cute Room Divider...Yard Sale Find!!

Hey yall,
My house is quite unique and I love it! There are a few things that I've had to be imaginative about due to the unusual layout of my home.
I have a bedroom that doesn't have a door. So, to add privacy, I added a curtain room divider. I bought these at a yard sale for dirt cheap, like $2.00
Then instead of attaching a curtain rod to my wall I just used a white shower curtain rod that I already had on hand. A tension rod!
Also, the curtain casing was too small to over the shower rod, so I flipped them over and used the hem of the curtain as the casing. I could always have hemmed them but this turned out to be a simple no-sew!
I used a scarf that I picked up at local thrift store for .25, as a tie back. For more privacy it came be let down.
I have four panels swung to the side, but you could divide them in the middle and tie them back on both sides. And tie-back ideas are endless. :)

V is for Valentine...AND only $4 :)

We just had Valentines Day for 2015. I decided to make my husband a couple of 'fun' gifts for his Valentine day. I bought a letter 'V' from Michaels. It was on sale for $1.99, yeah baby! Its a canvas covered letter. I brought it home and got busy!!
I used acrylic paints and a black sharpie marker. I painted the sides and the back of the letter with paint. Let it dry. Then I used the sharpie marker to write a little partial story about us. Then I used some ribbon that I got at the Dollar Tree for $1 and hot glued it to the back for a hanger. He loved it!
:)

I also painted my sweetie a handmade Valentine Card. I used a piece of black card stock and layered torn pieces of newspaper on it...glued them and let them dry. Then I used acrylic paints and painted my Valentine message for my man. :) Then I framed it in an 8x10 frame from the Dollar Tree.. So for my total gift was $4.00...
Thrifty Love!

Homemade Laundry Detergent & Multi-Purpose Household Cleaner!

For a while now I've been making my own laundry detergent. It saves SO much money and is easy to make and cleans REALLY well!! Lasts a long time too!
This makes a powder detergent.
Use a large plastic container with a lid that seals.
LAUNDRY DETERGENT RECIPE:
1 box Borax
1 box Arm & Hammer Laundry Soap
1 Bar of soap, grated.
1 Lg box baking soda
1 container Oxy-Clean
1 bottle of scent of your choice

Process:
I use a cheese grater and grate my soap. Then begin adding the ingredients into your plastic storage container. I generally add 1/2 then stir it all up with a wooden spoon. Then add the remainder and mix it all up.
For a measuring scoop, I use the one included with the Oxy-Clean. 1-2 of those per wash load.

***
I also make my own household cleaner! This stuff is awesome and cleans SUPER well!! AND its SUPER simple!!
HOUSEHOLD CLEANER RECIPE:
White Vinegar
Non-Concentrated Dawn Dish Liquid
Process:
Use a spray bottle and add 1/2 Vinegar and 1/2 Dawn

I use it for cleaning my bathrooms, stove top, sinks, grease build-up from the back-splash area behind the stove...even cleaned my walls and ceilings with it. Its gentle but really cleans well.
You can also use it on laundry!! You can use it on the collars of shirts or grease stains...

Also, when I mop my floors I use the same ingredients! To a bucket of warm water add Dawn and Vinegar. I just pour it in without measuring. Depending on how much water I'm making up. I probably add more vinegar than Dawn in this case.

I Gave My Fridge a $2 DIY MakeOver :)

So, I saw this cute idea on Pinterest. Which is pretty much my favorite site on the world wide web!!
I get loads of amazing ideas on Pinterest so I decided to get busy and do some DIYing.
Someone had covered their shelves in their fridge, which was adorable. So, last night, I gave it a whirl in my own ice box.....

I Cleaned out my fridge, sooooo, this project has WIN/WIN results!
I bought two rolls of shelf paper at the local Dollar Tree for a total of $2.00
Yeah baby, that's my kinna DIY project!!
I cut the paper to fit each shelf. Instead of pealing off the whole paper backing, I just removed it around the edges of the paper to hold the shelf paper in place.
And there ya go! A proper update to the inside of my fridge...totally cute.

AND....here's my results.

A couple bEfore/AfTeR pix for you.
